Chloe Ting is likely the most subscribed and fastest growing fitness Youtuber in the past 2 years.

Who is Chloe Ting?

Born in Brunei and having moved to Australia since the age of 16, having graduated from Monash University, Chloe worked as an actuary in statistics before her Youtube channel took off. 

She had been producing Youtube videos for approximately 8 years before her workouts achieved international stardom. 

During the pandemic, Chloe Ting's 2-week shred programs attracted major attention because they are suitable as at-home workouts designed for the standard period of quarantine. Chloe Ting makes sure that her workouts are fun and diversified. And a good thing is that she always offers a low-impact version of the movements to get beginners like me started.

On top of this, Chloe also offers recipes on her website to emphasize the importance of diet when it comes to changing your body figures.

Her superstardom has also invited controversy. 

Some content creators have been critical about the effectiveness of her workouts, the clickbait-y nature of her titles, and the potential implications of body shaming implied in her thumbnails. 

But this is in no way an issue unique to Chloe Ting. Chloe Ting did clarify in her videos repeatedly that she titles her videos that way because of the Youtube algorithm and how to slim down different body parts is what people are searching for. 

Women have long been subjugated to unrealistic body image expectations especially when estrogens make it natural for the female body to retain fat in certain areas. Lots of women's bodies and skin never go back to what they looked like before after giving birth to children. Given we live in a society that values youth and beauty, it is very easy to target the female population with their insecurities. 

This raises the question of what the end goal of your workout routine is.
